Rosemary Beach

Rosemary Beach Land Company’s development plan is founded in the principles of New Urbanism and traditional neighborhood development. Inspired by other classic beach neighborhoods, the 107-acre, gulf-front development of Rosemary Beach was designed to bring back the notions of community, neighborhood, and convenience. In other words, this slice of heaven on earth offers residents the opportunity to live and work in paradise.

The neotraditional resort-town of Rosemary Beach was born in 1995 through the combined efforts of the world renowned architectural firm of Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company and town developer, Rosemary Beach Land Company. The creators of this development turned to the principles of New Urbanism for foundation and were inspired by a myriad of locales such as the Dutch West Indies, Bermuda, New Orleans, Charleston, and St. Augustine for the town’s spirit and personality.

Located on the eastern end of Scenic Highway 30A, Rosemary Beach spans 107-acres and features 2,300 feet of pristine, private beach with nine dune walkovers (two with wheelchair access), four neighborhood pools, a number of parks and other green spaces ideal for play and relaxation, the Rosemary Beach Racquet Club (a full-service tennis club with eight clay tennis courts, a tennis pro shop, a children’s playground, and a bike rental shop), a 2.3 mile fitness trail, an upscale fitness center with top of the line equipment, a boutique hotel, and more.

Much care and forethought were spent framing Rosemary Beach as a “true town” rich in distinctive architecture, lush landscape, and premium recreational amenities for its residents and visitors. While the town center, within a five-minute walk from any part of the town, is the cornerstone of Rosemary Beach, spotlighting most of the development’s public buildings, restaurants, shops, and galleries, the architecture of the predominately single-family homes and other buildings truly illuminates the essence of the community. Each home is not only architecturally distinct, but is also custom designed to delicately reflect the individual owner’s taste. By requiring authentic materials, time-tested building techniques, and a palate of vibrant colors, the community’s indulgent, permissive design guidelines achieve a rich harmony and old-world character that is felt throughout the town.

Given the location, amenities, and custom nature of the homes found in Rosemary Beach, it is no wonder the town is one of the most desired after neighborhoods on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
